During a Sunday evening on November 27, Tahirah Moore and her family of 3 lost all of their possessions in a fire at their apartment on 9th and Parish Street in Philadelphia. Since then she has found another unfurnished apartment nearby, but because of inadequate insurance coverage they are in need of large household items like a refrigerator and a dining/kitchen table and chairs. Tahirah works part time for Red Shield Salvation Army, but has only a modest income from her work there. She is known for her charitable work for the homeless and cooking for those who come for meals sponsored by the Children of Paradise nonprofit organization. She has led a tragic life the past two years with the murder of her son in 2020 and her brother in March, 2022, both due to gun violence. Now she is asking for our help.
